Ultraviolet Sun Waves

© Bjørn Rørslett/NN 1995

My most successful and satisfying picture for many years now, and the proof that sheer endurance may pay off. This shoot, coming out exactly as I had envisioned it, took me more than three weeks to obtain. Getting the set-up properly calibrated for the UV range was the easy part of the task. Information pertaining to UV colour photography is outlined here.

Taken with GN-Nikkor 45 mm f/2.8 at f/22, approx. 30 seconds exposure with Nikon F4 and the FF bandpass filter
