Ultraviolet Sun Waves

Return to Water Gallery

A picture to prove that sheer endurance may pay off. This shot, coming out exactly as I had envisioned it, took me more than three weeks to obtain. Getting the set-up properly calibrated for the UV range was the easy part of the task. Information pertaining to UV colour photography is outlined
here.

Taken with GN-Nikkor 45 mm f/2.8 at f/22, approx. 30 seconds exposure with Nikon F4 and the FF bandpass filter.

UV images may also be acquired using digital techniques. For an updated review of digital UV and IR photography, click here.
