Th. Kittelsen, the famous Norwegian fairytale illustrator, often used his native landmark, Andersnatten, in his paintings of trolls and other creatures. My friend and I did a retake on one of his most well-known paintings, "Soria Moria" or the Golden Castle of the Dusk. If you wonder about the original, this is how it looks like.
